Delete your account

Last updated 11 September 2026 · Applies to Vandizone (com.vandizone.customerapp) and VZ Captain (com.vandizone.captainapp)

You can ask us to delete your Vandizone account and the personal information held against it. This page explains how to ask, what gets removed, and the one category we are required by law to keep.

1. Two different things you might want

Before requesting deletion, it is worth knowing that the lighter option may be the one you actually want.

Disable — you can do this yourself, in the app

Your account stops being usable. Captains are taken off duty and stop receiving job offers; customers can no longer book. Nothing is destroyed, and you can ask us to turn it back on. Use this if you simply want to stop for a while.

Delete — request it here

Your profile and personal details are removed permanently and cannot be restored. This is the option described in the rest of this page.

2. How to request deletion

  1. Email admin@vandizone.com with the subject Delete my account.
  2. Send it from the email address on your account, or tell us the mobile number you sign in with — that number is how the account is identified.
  3. Say which app: Vandizone (customer) or VZ Captain.

We may contact you on that number to confirm the request is really yours. We will not ask you for a password or an OTP — nobody from Vandizone will ever ask you for either.

We act on the request within 30 days. You will get a reply confirming what was deleted and what, if anything, had to be kept.

3. What is deleted

  • Your name, email address and profile photograph
  • Your mobile number and your sign-in credentials
  • Saved and recent addresses
  • For business accounts: business name, GSTIN and designation
  • For captains and owners: driving licence number, date of birth, district, and the bank details held for payouts
  • Vehicle records you registered, and their documents
  • Your notifications, device registrations and call history
  • Your ratings and reviews

4. What we have to keep, and why

Completed bookings and the GST tax invoices raised against them cannot be deleted on request. Section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 requires us to retain records of a supply for 72 months from the due date of the annual return for that financial year. The same applies to the payment and settlement records attached to those jobs.

Where this applies we delete everything else and keep only what the record itself requires. After the retention period ends, those records are deleted too.

If your account has no completed bookings, there is nothing to retain and everything goes.

5. Money owed to you

If you hold a wallet balance or have earnings awaiting payout, please withdraw them before requesting deletion. We will tell you if a balance is outstanding rather than deleting an account and leaving money stranded in it.

6. Questions

Write to admin@vandizone.com. Our full privacy policy, including who we are and our grievance officer, is on the privacy page.
